Firm History.

Since earning his law degree in 1983, Attorney Guttormsen has spent the past 28 years practicing law in the City of Kenosha, and maintained an office in Twin Lakes for 15 years as well. Though currently practicing in a solo environment, Attorney Guttormsen has practiced in various partnership settings over the years, most recently between 1994 and 2004. Preferring the the workplace freedom of a solo practice, Attorney Guttormsen and his assistant of several years, Laurie Langston, left the partnership and established Guttormsen Law Office, LLC in September, 2004. Attorney Guttormsen and Laurie have since been serving the needs of their clients from their offices located in the beautiful Colerget Conference Center.

Philosophy.

Every law firm will claim its objective is to provide quality, effective legal services at a reasonable price. In that regard, Guttormsen Law Office, LLC is no exception. But while we share this obvious professional goal with others in our profession, we know that there is more to an attorney-client relationship than just getting the job done. We know that in addition to wanting sound legal advice and strong advocacy to assist with legal problems or transactions, clients also want a lawyer who actually listens to them, relates to their situation, and interacts with them in a comfortable, cordial manner. At Guttormsen Law Office, LLC, relating to our clients on a friendly, yet professional level rather than on a disengaged, impersonal level, just comes naturally for us. Our clients seem to find a certain amount of comfort in the balance we strike between aggressively protecting their interests and being someone they can personally identify with. We urge you to give us a call and spend a few minutes on the phone getting to know us. We're certain you'll feel comfortable with us and can trust we're fully capable of handling your matter effectively but without arrogance or pretenses.
